Mummy left
No time to gather your last chat,
not really sure where you are at.
It's the biggest hurt ever,
a broken heart, a complete sever.
I can't believe you won't be in the present,
not there to console, now heaven sent,
Your voice, no longer a sound,
it will leave emotions feeling drowned.
No one, on the end of the phone,
or there to greet when you get home.
The empty rooms break a heart,
No idea where my emotions finish, or for that matter, start.
Years go by, but the absence,
still deep Like an abcess.
But light comes after a while.
and memories, and with it a smile.
Even though it hurts forever,
the only way Is to endeavor.
To make them proud,
by God, it is aloud.
Tears will always follow thoughts and memories, they have to be faced,
but they can never ever be erased.
They are owned until the day we depart,
which is why you can't heal a broken heart.
